Domain:
Cognitive development
Appropriate Age:
3-5 years old
Reflection:
This is just one way to make an instrument, but it’s important to encourage children to understand that musical instruments can be made from anything recyclable. For example, lids from pots can be used as cymbals, pots can be turned into drums, a box with rubber bands can become a guitar, or a bottle filled with small stones can become a rattle. It’s all about opening their imagination, and we can create musical instruments with most of the things we have at home.
