My World of Colors
Materials:
A cardboard box
Green, brown, and pink paints
Two balls, one large and one small
A sheet of white paper
Water and paper towels
Process:
1. In a cardboard box, place the white paper.
2. Then, on a tray, place the paints that will be used to fill the balls with paint.
3. Afterward, place the balls in the box.
This activity can be done with two children so they can place the paint-filled balls in the box and at the same time, move the box from side to side so the balls roll around and paint. We can add as much paint as needed.
Domain:
Fine motor skills and coordination
Appropriate Age:
3-5 years old
Reflection:
I loved this activity because I could see how excited the children were each time they filled the balls with paint. It was wonderful to watch how, by moving the box from side to side, the colors blended together, creating beautiful mixtures of shades. It was amazing to see how they shared materials and coordinated with each other while filling the balls with paint. It was truly beautiful, and especially impressive was how an activity with very few materials could entertain the children for such a long time.
